The hearing of Atiku Abubakar’s appeal, which challenges President Tinubu’s victory in the election held on February 25th, has been scheduled by the Supreme Court for October 23.

All parties received the notice from the supreme court on Thursday.

On September 19, the PDP candidate filed an appeal on 35 reasons, contesting the ruling of the presidential election petitions, which confirmed Tinubu’s election victory.

On September 6, the five-member panel led by Justice Hassan Tsammani rejected the complaints that Atiku and Peter Obi, the leader of the Labour Party, had submitted on the grounds that they were without substance.

In addition, the former vice president had petitioned the Supreme Court to provide new information against the president that had been gathered from Chicago State University.

He has persisted in demanding that Tinubu be removed from office due to inconsistencies and forgeries in his academic records.
