What does Haba Mean in Nigerian?
There is no such thing as Nigerian, from a language perspective. Nigerians speak several dozens of different languages. You can however ask, what does haba mean, in a Nigerian language? The answer to that question is that Haba, is an exclamation of incredulity in Hausa, one of the three major Nigerian languages.
An example of the use of “Haba” is to say “Haba Mallam” if a Hausa merchant was to over-value an item you want to buy from him. The word Haba has however entered the Nigerian pidgin English lexicon. This expands the use of the word beyond the Hausa language.
