It has been confirmed that the immediate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola is dead.

Ajimobi was rumoured to have died late last week was now confirmed to be officially dead.

The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi had on a life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus.

The former Chief Executive Officer, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Nigeria, was confirmed to have died as a result of underlying health conditions, which was worsened by COVID-19.

Friends and associates of the deceased took to the social media space to mourn with the family of the deceased.

The death of the former governor of Oyo State was disclosed by an undisclosed source.
Publisher, Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, also took to his Twitter handle to mourn with the family of the deceased.
