About the Author

Temi Odurinde is a natural beekeeper, a community advocate and a trustee of a water charity. He lives in Herefold, UK where he shares his beekeeping knowledge and skills and enjoys the company of other beekeepers.

Author’s interview

Question 1: Pitch your books to use  (maximum of 100 words).  

There is a saying that what is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.  If you want to learn to keep honey bees, why not keep them properly; the natural way. That is what my book shows complete beginners. How they can start from zero to becoming a confident natural beekeeper.

Question 2: What inspired you to write your book?  

When I started keeping bees, I was quite determined to do so properly, naturally. I could not find a suitable book for a beginner.  When I became a more confident beekeeper, I thought “why not make life easy for new natural beekeepers to be, by writing a book on what they need to get started in natural beekeeping.

Question 3: Who is your book for? 

It is mostly for complete beginners. Those thinking about keeping bees, but do not know how to go about it or where to start.

Question 4: What do you hope the book will achieve?

I hope the book will help hundreds, maybe even thousands of people to get started in natural beekeeping.

Question 6: Are you a first time author or have you written other books you want to tell us about?  

This is my first book, I hope it will not be the last 🙂

Question 7: Who is/are your favourite authors of all time? 

My favourite authors are Paulo Coelho and  Danniel Everette.

Question 8: Writing a book is a significant achievement. Do you have any tips for people who may want to write a book?  

It’s not easy, but you can do it if you persist despite any obstacles you may come across.

Question 9: Are you working on another project people should look out for in the future?   

Yes actually, I hope to make progress with another book on bees, this time Bumble bees.
