Marketing of Snail does not pose much problem, because it sells like hot cake. In Nigeria local markets.
Harvesting should be done during the dry season between December and March. By this period there is no competition from the Snails caught from the bush.
The price of a matured snail by the time is not less than N 200 each any where in Lagos local markets like Oyingbo, Sangross, Mushin, Bariga, Agege e.t.c
The people selling herbs in these markets buys Snail in bulk more than any set of people, I think for some medicinal purpose.
Marketing snails to the eateries and cafeterias like Mr. Biggs, Tantalizers, Sweet sensation, Chicken café is also lucrative. If you have enough quantity’s you can export Snail to Italy and France. This involves some documentation, for Nigeria export promotion council and Nigerian Quarantine service and societe General de Survelance SGS.
