Murtala Muhamed airport in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria is not that large as international airports go. But getting a flight from or to the airport can be interesting to say the least. If you are flying from MM airport(as it is affectionately called by the locals), the one thing you may find very helpful is a PEN! MM Airport formerly known as Lagos International Airport

A brief history of the Murtal Muhamed airport revealed that it has not always been known by it’s present name. It was originally known as Lagos International Airport. It was renamed in the mid 1970s, during construction of the international terminal. The airport’s name was a former Nigerian heads of state called Murtala Muhammed.
