Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki has finally left the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the people’s democratic party (PDP) after days of intense speculation.
One will recall that the Edo State governor is rumoured to have left the umbrella party after a close door with President Buhari at the presidential villa, Aso Rock.
He was received by the leadership of the party led by the state Chairman of the PDP, Hon Tony Aziegbemi at the state Secretariat of the PDP along 1st East Circular Road with many of his followers and appointees on Friday.
Though several social analysts and social media political noisemakers have been giving their unsolicited presumption of the outcome of the governor’s move, while some have said that the single act of joining PDP is the beginning to a journey to meet his Waterloo, others have said that the giant step takes him a step further to win a second term.
The video of his declaration was shared by PDP and the party’s spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan.
