As the saying goes, ‘we are what we eat’.
This goes for both the ladies and the gents! One of the factors that contribute to a fabulous appearance which we often neglect is having a great skin. Apart from buying the most expensive and popular cosmetics that are readily available in the market, it is also important that we eat the right kinds of foods as this greatly affects the appearance of your skin. Eat foods that are good for you and chances are you’ll look that way too instead of snacks, chocolates and fries which studies have shown to be some of the most common causes of acne and other skin problems.
So, for the next couple of days, I shall be discussing on some of these foods that can improve the health of your skin. First, let’s start with Water!
Water: This is not exactly classified as food but drinking plenty of water everyday keeps the skin looking soft, supple and more youthful. Water helps to replenish skin tissues and moisturizes the skin. Dull looking skin is as a result of dehydration. Your overall appearance will benefit from improved skin texture, lush hair and stronger nails by keeping your body hydrated. Water also helps flush out toxins from your body. Certain studies suggest drinking 6-8 glasses of water everyday and I think this is a fairly reasonable guide.
So start drinking!!
