LOL is a meme that took hold through the internet, and if you don’t know what it means, someone will surely “Laugh out Loud” at you!

Facebook said that “TBH (To Be Honest),” `’YOLO (You Only Live Once),” and `’SMH (Shake My Head)” where among it’s top-ranked memes.

Twitter’s most re-tweeted posts were President Barack Obama’s “Four more years,” (which was re-tweeted 810,000 times and received 300,000 favourites) and Justin Bieber’s goodbye to his six-year-old fan Avalanna Routh, who died of a rare type of brain cancer in September.
