Screen

The Nokia Lumia 920 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. The phone’s screen is protected by corning gorilla glass 2 and takes advantage of what Nokia calls PureMotion HD+. According to Nokia, PureMotion HD+ includes a high-luminescence mode that improves the screen’s contrast and brightness. In addition to this, the screen should be more sensitive than a regular touchscreen device giving users the ability to use the phone’s touchscreen while wearing gloves or using a pen.

Design

The phone has a polycarbonate body with rolled edges. The smartphone is available in black, white, red, gray, and yellow. The Lumia 920 appears to look like it can take some damage and still work. The video below shows a drop test with the smartphone :

The headphone jack is located to the top center of the phone, the micro USB jack can be found at the bottom center, and the volume, camera and power buttons are located at the right-hand side of the phone. The smartphone’s Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery is sealed in the back and all of the phone’s buttons are easy to press.

Storage Space

The smartphone has 32 GB of internal storage capacity. There is no microSD card slot, therefore the user will not be able to expand the phone’s storage space. Take note that the 32 GB of internal storage will not all be available. The smartphone’s operating system and pre-installed applications will consume some of the phone’s storage, making its available storage lower than advertised.

Under the Hood

The Nokia Lumia 920 features a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit. The phone also has 1 GB of RAM and runs on Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8. According to the listed specifications above, multitasking on the phone and playing good-graphics mobile games should not be a problem.

Camera

The smartphone comes with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera (3264 x 2448 pixels) and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera (720p@30fps). The camera takes advantage of PureView technology, geo-tagging, and touch focus. The rear-facing camera features optical image stabilization, dual-LED flash, autofocus and Carl Zeiss optics. The camera can also shoot 1080p@30fps vidoes and support video stabilization.
