With the release of the BlackBerry 10 OS, Z10 and Q10 smartphone users now have the ability to take screenshots without having to worry about installing a third-party application to do the dirty work. The feature comes out of the box with the BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system, and the process is similar to taking a screenshot on an Android or IOS device.

How To Take Screenshots In BlackBerry 10 :

  1. The first thing to do is turn on the BlackBerry Q10 or Z10 phone.
  2. Navigate to the screen to capture.
  3. Hit the volume up button and the volume down button at the same time.

Hearing the phone making a camera shutter noise after hitting both hardware buttons confirms that the screenshot was successfully captured. However, it is best to check by heading into the phone’s picture gallery to view the screenshot. Other mobile operating systems display a flash on the screen as well as a camera shutter noise to confirm that the screenshot has been captured successfully – maybe BlackBerry wants to be different. Of course, these screenshots can be transferred from the smartphone to a computer via USB cable.
