In this article I will share some architecture photography tips.

Elevation

Sometimes, you need elevation to get up to your subjects level, to improve the perspective. This can be done by using a step ladder, or finding a natural, or man-made “step-ladder”.

Symmetry 

The human eye is drawn to symmetry. An interesting, yet precisely symmetrical shot is a great way to attract attention to your shots.

Try Black and White or even Sepia

This makes a dramatic alternative to colour photography, and is a good way to emphasize the age of a historical building or to add dramatic mood.

If the building is very light or very dark, the camera’s meter may expose it incorrectly. If this occur, use exposure compensation, and add +/- 1 stop or so of compensation.
