The BlackBerry 10 operating system supports the rotation lock feature that many people know about from Android and iOS devices. Taking advantage of this feature allows the user to disable screen rotation when rotating the BlackBerry 10 device (eg. Z10) to a certain number of degrees.

How to enable the Rotation Lock feature on the BlackBerry Z10 :

Difficulty level : easy.

Step 1 : Turn on the BlackBerry Z10 and go to the home screen of the device. Swipe down from the top of the phone’s screen to bring up the quick settings menu.

Step 2 : Tap on the Rotation Lock icon.

It is important to take note that the icon will turn blue after tapping on it (if the feature was not already enabled, of course). The blue color indicates that the rotation lock feature is enabled. When the feature is enabled, the screen will not change direction when switching between portrait and landscape views.
